Dr. David Levy
Dr. Levy is a graduate of McMaster University where he is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine with a cross appointment in the Department of Medicine (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation). In his practice, the first primary care sport medicine clinic in southern Ontario established in1983, Dr. Levy has been looking after athletes of all ages and talent levels for many years.
Dr. Levy has been the team physician to the Hamilton Tiger Cats Football Club for 40 years and has been the medical director of the Toronto Rock Professional Lacrosse team since its inception. He has been a physician to McMaster University and Mohawk College Varsity sports teams and clinics for over 40 years. He is also on the medical staff of the Hamilton Bulldogs AHL hockey team and the team physician to Hamilton’s Breast Cancer Dragonboat team, Knot A Breast, for the past 18 years.
Dr. Levy has been a chair of the OMA Section on Sport Medicine and has been on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine, is on the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Sport and Musculoskeletal Phyisicans Group and is the chair of the Program Advisory Committee for the Sheridan College Athletic Therapy program. Dr. Levy is heavily involved in the education of medical students, and of residents in Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Emergency Medicine and he started and is the Co-Director of McMaster’s Primary Care Sport Medicine Fellowship Program
Dr. Devin Peterson
Dr. Peterson is an orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. He has been on staff at McMaster University Medical Centre/McMaster Children’s hospital since 2000 and specializes in Pediatric Orthopedics as well as Sport Medicine for both children and adults.
Dr. Peterson worked as a team physician with the McMaster Marauder’s Football team for over a decade, and is Lead Surgeon with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club. He has served as an orthopaedic examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Chair of the Sport Medicine Section of the Ontario Medical association, and is currently the Orthopedic Clerkship Director for undergraduate medical students at McMaster University.

Dr. Koelink is an assistant clinical professor in the Pediatric Emergency Department at McMaster Children’s Hospital.After receiving his medical degree from Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, Dr. Koelink completed his residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship training at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. He received his Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine after a fellowship in both adult and pediatric sports medicine at Western University in London, Ontario.
Dr. Koelink maintains a practice in sports medicine where he sees a wide range of patients including those diagnosed with concussions. His research interests include pediatric fractures and concussions.
Meg Chiavaras
Dr. Chiavaras, MD, PhD is a musculoskeletal radiologist at the Hamilton General Hospital and Associate professor of radiology at McMaster University. She has a strong subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries. She performs multiple minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided interventional procedures to treat tendon, ligament, muscle, and nerve pathology. She teaches at multiple national and international courses and conferences and is actively engaged in research. She is currently the principle investigator for the IMPROVE trial, a multicentre, multidisciplinary, international randomized control trial comparing various ultrasound-guided percutaneous treatments for lateral epicondylitis ("tennis elbow").
Dr. Chiavaras holds degrees in General Science and Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, PhD in Neurology and Neurosurgery from McGill University and an MD from the University of Massachusetts. She completed her Clinical Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at McMaster University.
Gloria Kiefer-Preston
An experienced physiotherapist of 30 years, Gloria completed her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto in 1991. At that time, she competed in varsity soccer and track & field. Gloria completed the first Canadian Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. During that time she also obtained her Sport Certificate from Sport Physiotherapy Canada.
She has served as the Chief Physiotherapist at the 2003 World Road Cycling Championships, 2001 Canada Summer Games (Field Hockey), and the London Marathon. She has also been a member of medical teams including Skate Canada, Commonwealth Rowing Championships, Team Canada Volleyball, Ontario Summer Games, Junior B and AAA Hockey.
She has completed post-graduate courses in advanced manual therapy, exercise, myofascial release and medical acupuncture. She has extensive experience treating sport and orthopedic injuries in recreational, elite and professional athletes.
Gloria has two scientific publications in peer reviewed journals regarding knee proprioception, and is also a professional associate at the McMaster School of Rehabilitation Science.

Susan has been a part of the Sport Medicine team at McMaster since 1999.
She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1992 with an honors Arts degree in German and Physical Education minor. She completed a MA degree in German at McMaster University in 1993 and went on to complete her BSc in Physiotherapy in the School of Rehabilitation McMaster University (1995).
Susan’s clinical experience focuses on orthopedic and sports physiotherapy and she holds her certificate in Sport from Sport Physiotherapy Canada. She is an Assistant Clinic Professor (adjunct) of the McMaster School of Rehabilitation Science acting as a clinical preceptor and guest lecturer. In 2005 Susan received the Gold Merit Award for the education and supervision of physiotherapy students.
Susan’s other responsibilities include the role of clinical education coordinator overseeing the organization and supervision physiotherapy and co-operative education students on clinical placements.
Kerry Dunnam
Kerry grew up in Leamington, Ontario. She moved to Hamilton to pursue her Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Upon graduation, she went on to complete her Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College. She became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2013 and a Registered Kinesiologist in 2016.
Kerry has worked in multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinics with extensive experience in custom, off the shelf bracing and compression therapy.
Kerry has spent the past few years working with the Six Nations Arrows Jr A lacrosse team. She was also fortunate to work with multiple other Senior and varsity lacrosse, volleyball, football and hockey teams. Locally, she has been the therapist alongside high school football, rugby, hockey and basketball teams. Her teams have been successful enough to travel around the country competing in and winning several national championships.
In her spare time, Kerry enjoys being outdoors camping, hiking and fishing. Her love of sports is what drove her to becoming an Athletic Therapist, where growing up she was a competitive figure skater, softball and basketball player.
Drew Korzeniowski
Drew is the owner and operator of DK Orthotic Solutions (DKOS). DKOS is a sports pedorthic company whose focus is to provide orthotic treatment for those with foot and lower limb injuries. DKOS specializes in seeing the athletic and sporting population, however, also sees people from all walks of life, including children and teens, those with diabetes, the elderly, and those with congenital conditions resulting in gait abnormalities.
DKOS uses a wide range of cutting edge technologies and materials, along with Drew’s background and experience to help clients improve their athletic performance and/or physical well being.
Drew uses a variety of treatment options for his patients, including: custom and non-custom orthotics, custom and over-the-counter foot and ankle bracing, footwear fittings, modifications and education to name a few.
Drew is an associate Pedorthist for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, the Hamilton Forge of the CPL and works with numerous athletes and sporting organizations in the surrounding area.
In his spare time, Drew is an avid runner, triathlete and adventure racer. He also enjoys mountain biking, camping, hiking and competing competitively and noncompetitively in a wide range of sports
Jillian Goodwin
Jillian completed her Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2011. Prior to this, she attended the University of Western Ontario where she received an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a Minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. During this time, she acted as the student therapist for the UWO varsity men’s rugby team.
Since graduating, Jillian has completed courses in Kinesio taping and is currently pursuing her manual and manipulative therapy levels. Jillian has completed training in Acupuncture and Dry Needling for sport injury management. Jillian is also a Shift Concussion Trained Provider. She is a member of the Orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Jillian enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, weight lifting and playing competitive beach and court volleyball.
Brandon Broijer
Brandon first came to McMaster for his undergraduate education, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology in 2015. During this time, he worked with the Varsity Soccer and Swim teams as a field therapist. Brandon then went on to complete his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, graduating once again from McMaster in 2017.
Brandon’s clinical approach is founded in exercise-based therapy, with interests in manual therapy and acupuncture as adjunctive care modalities. Brandon has earned his level I manual therapy certification, introductory acupuncture, and is a certified First Responder by Sport Physiotherapy Canada. He is pursuing continuing education in advanced manual therapy levels, concussion management, and vestibular rehab. Brandon believes in creating a partnership with his patients, facilitating them to take an active role in their healthcare and rehabilitation. He welcomes working with athletes and clients of all abilities, and greatly appreciates the athletic atmosphere that McMaster has to offer. In his spare time, Brandon lives an active lifestyle as a runner, cyclist, while also playing basketball and soccer.
Ryan Coomber
Ryan Coomber returned to McMaster University as a Physiotherapist in August 2021. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ryan first joined the David Braley Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre as a high school co-op student. He went on to complete his Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. During this time, he worked with the McMaster Varsity Football, Soccer, Swim, and Baseball programs. Ryan was also able to gain valuable experience working with professional sports teams including the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Hockey Canada.
Since graduating from Physiotherapy, Ryan has continued his educational pursuits by obtaining his Sport Physiotherapy Certificate while completing a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at McMaster. He has also taken courses related to advanced manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture and dry needling, sport injury management, K-taping, and is a certified Sports First Responder.
Ryan enjoys working with clients having a variety of conditions, ranging from sport related injuries to chronic pain, in order to help these individuals achieve their goals. His treatment philosophy is focused on evidence-based clinical techniques such as exercise prescription, manual therapy, and acupuncture. In his spare time, Ryan lives an active lifestyle including running, playing hockey, and working out at the gym.
After years of collaborating with the university, Ryan is excited to re-join the David Bradley Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre. He will be splitting his time between providing care to the Hamilton and McMaster community, as well as the McMaster athletes.
Phil Hendriks
Phil Hendriks graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Toronto, in 1998. After working as both a RMT and a Personal Trainer at The Good Life Fitness Club in Toronto, in 2001 he moved to Perth Australia where he worked at the Subiaco Sports Massage clinic, seeing clients from the Australian National Swim Team, the Western Australian Ballet, the Australian National Cricket Team as well as servicing general public clients. During his time in Australia, Phil also worked at the Bodywise Physiotherapy Clinic; a multidisciplinary sports and women’s health clinic that included Pilates focused treatment. Here, Phil received accreditation in Clinical Pilates as a method of corrective exercise.
In 2006, Phil moved to Auckland New Zealand, where he continued his RMT work at the Elementa Natural Health and Wellness Centre; a natural health clinic with a focus on yoga. In Auckland he also managed a busy home clinic.. With experience gained from both Auckland and Perth, Phil’s interests expanded to include to the use of yoga combined with massage therapy in the prevention of injury and in reducing chronic pain, as well as using boxing as a form of strengthening and conditioning.
Phil returned to Canada in 2012, where he continues to practice from his home, as well as engaging in coaching and RMT services with the Varsity Swim team at McMaster University. Here his practice holds a strong focus on posture correction for the purpose of reducing injury. After nearly four successful years working as part of the McMaster Varsity Swim team, Phil accepted a RMT position at the David Braley Sports Medicine Clinic where he continues to provide massage services to the greater community of McMaster.
Chris Puskas

Chris his time between managing and supervising the Varsity Athletic Clinic, supervising Student Field Therapists and serving as Head Therapist with the Varsity Men's Football team.
Chris worked in the Canadian Football League for seventeen years: three years as the Assistant Athletic Therapist with the Toronto Argonauts (1994-1996) and fourteen as Head Athletic Therapist with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1997-2010).
Chris has been a part of three National Championship teams: the Grey Cup winning 1996 Toronto Argonauts, the 1999 Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the 2012 Vanier Cup Champion McMaster Marauders.
Chris’ education/designations include: an Honours Degree, Physical and Health Education (1993) from Laurentian University; Diploma in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College (1996), Membership into the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (1996), Diploma in Acupuncture from the Centre of International Holistic Studies (1998) and his Doctorate in Acupuncture, World Health Organization (1998); Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2004), Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology (2010).
As well as being a Sports First Responder, Chris has also completed courses in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Strain Counter-strain, Functional Myofascial Release, Myofascial Stretching, Articular Pumping, Muscle Energy and Soft Tissue Release.
From 2000 to 2004 Chris instructed at Sheridan College in both Manual Therapy Techniques and Protective Equipment. Chris continues to be a guest lecturer for many area Sports Organizations and Educational Institutions.
Chris is proud to follow both his father Frank (Geology) and his mother Toni (Dean's office) to McMaster University.
Chris resides in Hamilton, Ont. with his wife Crystal, and sons Noah, Benjamin and Joshua.
Teresa Lohonyai
Teresa is a graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Ontario College of Health and Technology. Having an interest in sports her whole life, Teresa took an interest in body movement and function at a young age, participating in sports and activities such as track and field, rugby, baseball, field hockey, weightlifting, and yoga. Teresa has always been passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle so she decided to pursue a career in which she could help others do the same. After graduating from the University of Windsor with an Honours Movement Science Bachelor Degree of Human Kinetics, Teresa sought out massage therapy as her outlet for this passion. In addition to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Teresa has also received certification in Kinesio Taping. Teresa’s approach to treatment is unique as she combines various techniques and modalities within the scope of massage therapy to rehabilitate her patients.
Teresa is passionate about helping individuals to reach their rehabilitation goals, working with clients to achieve anything from general wellness, maintenance and relaxation to specific work, sport, or functional injury rehabilitation. She believes whole-heartedly in the motto "movement is medicine,” so outside the clinic environment you can find Teresa at the gym, running races within the GTA, or out hiking with friends.
Carly Vandergrient
Carly Vandergrient R.Kin, CAT(C), RMT, M.Sc
Carly brings a wealth of experience from both University and Professional Sport to McMaster Varsity Athletics. She provides the high quality support that our student athletes, coaches and programs expect, working primarily with the Varsity Court and Individual Sports in Ivor Wynne Centre; Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming, and Cross Country.
Prior to making her return to McMaster Athletics in 2016, Carly spent seven years working with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club of the CFL. For five years (2011-2016), Carly served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Ticats, where she was responsible for all aspects of the team's sport medicine needs, including emergency care, acute injury management, injury and post-operative rehabilitation, exercise prescription, insurance billing coordination, management of annual medical budget and inventory of supplies. Additionally, she was the liaison between General Manager, coaches, team physicians, allied health care practitioners, equipment and strength and conditioning staff. In Carly's five years as Head Therapist with the Tiger-Cats, she helped the team reach the Grey Cup on two occasions, in 2013 and 2014.
Carly is no stranger to McMaster University where she received her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2007 and Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2016. As an undergraduate student, Carly was an active member of the McMaster Sport Medicine program and served as a Student Field Therapist with the Marauders Baseball, Volleyball and Wrestling teams. Following graduation, Carly worked in the David Braley Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre where her responsibilities included the creation and implementation of hydrotherapy programs, custom and OTS brace fitting, and co-ordinating of Student Field Therapists.
Carly went on to Sheridan College to complete a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences degree in Athletic Therapy in 2011, Ontario College of Health and Technology for a diploma in Massage Therapy Certification in 2018 and most recently, completed the both the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and Neurofunctional Sport Performance Acupuncture Courses at McMaster University in 2019.
Dr. Ralph Sciullo

Dr. Ralph Sciullo utilizes a multi-modal approach to health care combining chiropractic, acupuncture, Active Release soft-tissue therapy (ART) and exercise. This approach, combined with over 31 years of practical experience, has made Dr. Ralph a sought after health-care practitioner.
A graduate of McMaster University (BSc 1985) and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (1989), Ralph is also certified to provide Active Release soft tissue technique (ART) and completed the McMaster University Medical Acupuncture program in 2000.
Ralph is the Team Chiropractor for both the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club (CHL and AHL) and Hamilton Tiger Cats Football Team. This has allowed the opportunity to work with athletes at all levels, from the young to the elite.
Kevin D Angelo
Dr. Kevin D'Angelo was born and raised in Hamilton and graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science in Kinesiology. He continued his studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude and Clinic Honours. In pursuit of specializing in sports medicine, Dr. D'Angelo went on to obtain his Sport Sciences Fellowship from the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) through an intensive two-year, full-time, post-graduate residency program at CMCC.
In addition to his formal training, he has obtained certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART)©, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (McMaster University) and is a current emergency first responder. Dr. D’Angelo is also an Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP) through the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic.
Dr. D'Angelo has worked with amateur, national and professional athletes across a variety of sport settings including hockey, lacrosse, football, soccer, dance, mixed martial arts, cycling and running. He has traveled internationally as part of the integrated sports team (IST) for the Canadian Taekwondo Team and has served as lead therapist for the North York Rangers Jr. A (OJHL) hockey team and York Region Shooters (CSL) professional men’s soccer team. He has also participated on several host medical teams, including the recent Toronto Pan Am Games & Parapan Am Games and Invictus Games.
Outside of the clinical environment, Dr. D’Angelo has been involved in teaching and research. He has taught anatomy, clinical diagnosis and orthopaedics at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and continues to be active in producing healthcare research and acting as a peer reviewer for academic journals. He has been a contributing author to the recent systematic reviews and guidelines published by the Ontario Protocol for Traffic Injury Management (OPTIMa) Collaboration and was involved in the Basic Sciences Arm for the SafetyNET Research Grant (CARE Program) through the University of Alberta. Dr. D’Angelo feels strongly about integrating the industry’s best research-driven practices with his clinical training to deliver a patient-centred approach to every individual case.
Dr Sama Boles
Dr. Sama Boles completed her medical education at the University of Ottawa after completing her undergraduate degree at McMaster University. She went on to train at Queen’s University in Family Medicine followed by a fellowship training in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in Western University. She holds a Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Dr. Boles has had experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor. She has provided varsity coverage for various sports teams including soccer and cross country and covered various local events including the Ottawa Marathon and Western Wrestling Open. In addition, she was the lead medical coordinator in the London Forest City Road Race and has been on the medical committee for the Ontario Summer Games.
Dr. Boles’ scope of practice includes acute and chronic pediatric, adult and geriatric musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. She has a special interest in ultrasound-guided injections and procedures including, but not limited to, joint, tendinous and peri-tendinous injections.
Navi Dhaliwal
Navi was born and raised in Hamilton and attended Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School. Navi has always been a passionate community member seen through his involvement as a Child and Youth Worker, and the Athletics & Recreation Department at McMaster University. Navi bleeds Maroon receiving both his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster. Navi selectively worked within the insurance industry to complement his passion for physiotherapy and help clients navigate this area of rehabilitation.
Navi was once a student clinical therapist at the David Braley Sport Medicine Centre and now joins the team as a Registered Physiotherapist. Navi is keen on providing a balance of the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments while respecting client-centeredness. Navi is committed to advancing his skills and clinical reasoning and wishes to pursue manipulative therapy courses to obtain his Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) status. Navi brings forth his experiences around navigating healthcare streams and pathways towards an individualized approach whereby manual therapy, exercise and education can leave long lasting outcomes. In addition, Navi is interested in gaining knowledge around anatomical acupuncture.
Navi’s main hobbies involve being active whether that be socially or individually. Navi has participated in almost every sport; however, his main sports are basketball, volleyball, and curating a mindset to tackle golf. Navi is always on the move and finds reward in helping his clients participate in daily life in a meaningful manner. To cooldown, he enjoys spending quality time and reflecting with those close to him.
Lana Freeman
Born in Burlington, Lana has over 20 years of customer service and medical administration experience.
Lana has many years of retail and management knowledge in a drug store setting. Most recently, she worked in the audiology sector where she oversaw the daily operations and scheduling of seven different clinics.
Lana enjoys working with and helping people. The main focus of her professional life and greatest satisfaction is customer service. She is eager to have her role benefit both our patients and our staff.
Outside of work, Lana is an avid reader, enjoys the water and spending time with her family – including her husband, 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
Rachel Hannah
Rachel is a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years of clinical experience. She services all Nutritional Goal and Action Planning including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance-Based Behavioural approach to Weight Management
- Energy Availability for Health & Performance
- Individual Periodized Nutrition Planning for Athletes
- Iron Deficiency, Gastrointestinal Issues, Bone Health plus more
- Providing the latest evidence-based sports nutrition information learned from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Sports Nutrition diploma that she completed in 2019.
Rachel Hannah puts her clinical knowledge to applied use as a Distance Runner, having won 5 Canadian Championships in Road Racing, Track and Cross Country. She has been the First Canadian in the Boston Marathon and won a Bronze Medal in the 2015 Pan Am Games Marathon. She is currently still competing in the World Major marathons at an elite level.
Lisa Heathcote
Lisa has been working as a Medical Secretary at McMaster University since 2002.
Lisa thrived in her role at the busy, fast paced, high volume Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health (FIRH) managing multiple specialists and responsibilities. Lisa also worked at the Hamilton General Hospital for over a decade. She is proud to have supervised students, assisted with research and grant proposals, created schedules, booked patients, managed remuneration and account reconciliations. Some of Lisa’s professional highlights include- being instrumental in the relocation of the Heart Investigation Unit (HIU) to their new home and participating in a Royal College Audit.
Lisa has raised money for Locks for Love and served meals at the Wesley Urban Ministries. Lisa is an animal rights advocate and supporter. She is actively involved with Outreach and Social Justice community groups and committees. She volunteers with the Wesley Contact Care network and Case for Kids Walk, Run, Ride. She completed a 3-year term as Chairperson of the EUC Council. Lisa serves as a Steward for UNIFOR Local 5555 Unit 1 and is always happy to lend a hand, shoulder, or an ear.
Anny Ko
After completing her Honours bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University, Anny graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2017. With her passion for people, Anny’s goal as a massage therapist is to work with clients to optimize their health and help them feel their best.
Anny is currently enrolled in the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture course as she continues to look for ways to expand her approach to achieving each individual’s goals. She uses various other techniques and modalities such as deep tissue, muscle energy techniques and cupping.
In her spare time, you can find Anny serving McMaster’s campus with LIFT Church or exploring the beautiful city of Hamilton and trying new restaurants
Hank Li
Hank completed his Honours BA Kinesiology at Western University and Master of Science, Physical Therapy at McMaster University. During his time at McMaster, Hank was involved with the varsity basketball teams as a student strength & conditioning coach.
After completing physiotherapy school, Hank went on to complete a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London, ON. There, he worked as the team therapist for a variety of varsity teams at Fanshawe College including men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, ice hockey, baseball and more.
Hank enjoys sharing his experiences in rehabilitation and passion for health and wellness with individuals of various of conditions and walks of life. His treatment approach combines his background in exercise prescription, manual therapy, and sport injury management to inspire and empower others to lead a healthier lifestyle. He also provides physiotherapy services in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Outside the clinic, Hank enjoys playing basketball, weightlifting, and running. His other interests include travelling, hiking, trying new restaurants, and is currently learning Spanish.
Mark Rukavina
Mark began his educational journey at Western University where he studied kinesiology and received hands-on experience in several areas. He developed diverse clinical skills while pursuing additional opportunities in athletic therapy, personal training, and fitness instruction. He went on to complete his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. Born and raised in Hamilton, Mark appreciates the opportunity to help those in the Hamilton community live their life to the fullest.
Mark’s treatment approach prioritizes a collaborative environment where clients can help create an individualized treatment plan that addresses their needs. He is a true believer in empowering others to achieve the things that are important to them and to advocate for clients in any way that he can. Through a combination of tailored exercise programs, education, and manual therapy, Mark will provide the best evidence to create a multi-faceted and comprehensive treatment plan.
Outside of the clinic, Mark enjoys a range of sports and activities, and is always looking to get involved in new ones. His favourite sports are rugby, hockey, golf, volleyball and football and he has recently began competing in triathlons. Mark’s other passions include cooking, going to the gym, hiking and travelling

Dr. Lydia Schultz
Dr. Lydia Schultz joined the David Braley Sport Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre in September 2022 as a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician. She has been involved in soccer and figure skating at a competitive level, and also competed at the varsity level in figure skating for the University of Toronto while finishing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. She completed her medical school and Family Medicine training at the University of Calgary, followed by a Sport and Exercise Medicine Fellowship at Western University in London, Ontario. She also received her Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Her scope of practice includes pediatric and adult patients with acute or chronic primary care musculoskeletal injuries or sports medicine conditions. She has a special interest in point of care interventional ultrasound for joint injections, peri-tendinous injections, and many other musculoskeletal procedures.
Currently, Dr. Schultz is a team physician for Skate Canada. In addition, she has been part of the medical team for several multi-sport Games, including the recent 2022 Canada Summer Games. She has also provided medical coverage for several varsity sports, including soccer and hockey.
Dr. Ryan Vamos
Dr. Ryan Vamos completed his medical education at Western University, after completing an undergraduate degree in music, studying classic vocal performance. He went on to train in Family Medicine at McMaster University at the Stonechuch FHT, and completed fellowship training in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Western University. He holds a Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. His scope of practice includes paediatric and adult sports-related injuries, acute and chronic conditions impacts physical activity, concussion care, and minimally-invasive ultrasound-guided procedures including joint and tendon sheath injections.
Dr. Vamos has provided sideline coverage for various varsity level sports community sporting events. His academic interests include the impacts of exercise and physical activity on various health conditions including chronic disease management and reversal, longevity and lifestyle medicine, and the key role of exercise in supporting healthy aging. He enjoys staying active with beach and indoor volleyball, cycling, and functional strength training
