Women on Weights
Fall 2024 Women on Weights schedule here, choose from 5 different sessions with different trainers.
- No Pulse membership necessary to take this course, but a Pulse membership will be required to continue training outside the scheduled program dates.
- Small class size allows for more personal attention with the trainer.
Level 1: Women On Weights is a program that has been designed to engage and teach women of all ages and abilities the importance of exercise, specifically that of Resistance Training. This 6-week program will teach participants proper technique for exercises and the benefits of training. Throughout this educational program participants will learn about gym etiquette, proper nutrition, different types of aerobic training, specific resistance training techniques and more importantly you will learn about your body and yourself. It is our goal, that by the end of this program you feel like the STRONG, POWERFUL, and KNOWLEDGABLE women that you are and that this will translate into you being confident and comfortable within the gym setting. Please note this is not a Fitness Workout, but you will learn proper techniques to continue after the program is complete.
Level 2: (not currently being offered) Are you finding yourself at a plateau in your training, growing tired of your regular workouts, or looking to master your lifting technique? Women on Weights Part 2 is an intermediate-level instructional exercise program that is designed for people who are familiar with the gym, but want to take things to the next level! Throughout 6 weeks of group sessions led by 2 certified personal trainers, members will be guided through a series of workouts that emphasize the importance of proper technique and progressive overload. You should expect to leave Women on Weights Part 2 with a fundamental understanding of basic exercises, improved lifting technique, as well as a variety of new movements to add to your regular routine. Be prepared for each session to be a good workout!
Please be aware of the following rules and regulations:
- Sleeveless tops and tank tops are permitted.
- Shorts, track pants, wind pants, and tights are permitted. Trousers, jeans, cutoffs, and pants with zippers are not acceptable
- Proper athletic footwear must be worn. Bare feet, sandals, work boots, and dress shoes are not acceptable
- Bags and other personal belongings must be left in a locker as these present a tripping hazard in the Pulse
