Women on Weights

Women On Weights is a program that has been designed to engage and teach women of all ages and abilities the importance of exercise, specifically that of Resistance Training. This 6-week program will teach participants proper technique for exercises and the benefits of training. Throughout this educational  program participants will learn about gym etiquette, proper nutrition, different types of aerobic training, specific resistance training techniques and more importantly you will learn about your body and yourself. It is our goal, that by the end of this program you feel like the STRONG, POWERFUL, and KNOWLEDGABLE women that you are and that this will translate into you being confident and comfortable within the gym setting. Please note this is not a Fitness Workout, but you will learn proper techniques to continue after the program is complete.

  • No Pulse membership necessary to take this course, but a Pulse membership will be required to continue training outside the scheduled program dates.

Please be aware of the following rules and regulations:

  • Sleeveless tops and tank tops are permitted.
  • Shorts, track pants, wind pants, and tights are permitted. Trousers, jeans, cutoffs, and pants with zippers are not acceptable
  • Proper athletic footwear must be worn. Bare feet, sandals, work boots, and dress shoes are not acceptable
  • Bags and other personal belongings must be left in a locker as these present a tripping hazard in the Pulse
