First Aid - Standard Recertification (Red Cross)

There are no recertification courses scheduled at this time while we await direction from the  Government of Ontario on closures due to Covid. Please check back in early February for updates. 

All courses to be held in WB113, DBAC.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Province of Ontario has amended the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for indoor sports and recreational fitness activities, effective Wednesday, September 22. Proof of full-vaccination, and a valid government issued photo ID is now required for entry to the David Braley Athletic Centre and its indoor recreational activities and services.

Please Note: If you completed a one-day recertification course for your previous certification , you must attend a full two-day Standard First Aid course to remain certified. One day recert courses can only be done once before full 2-day certification is required again. Following each full two day certification, only the one day recert is required. All certifications remain in effect for 3 years before expiring.

This is a course to recertify and review skills.

IMPORTANT: You must currently be Red Cross Standard First Aid certified and have taken the full SFA course prior to recertifying.(you cannot repeat a recertification course)  You must have a Red Cross card to confirm your certification with the instructor .  To remain certified following a recertification course, the full Standard First Aid course must be completed. Certification is valid for 3 years from completion date.  CPR C and AED certification included.

STAFF/FACULTY:Please verify with your Human Resources advisor if you are eligible for free training. Departments will be charged in the case of a 'no-show' or for cancellations less than 1 business day prior to course. Employee number, department account number, and contact information MUST be included on registration form if you are registering at $0.

What to Wear

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for performing the skills required for CPR. (kneeling on mats on floor)
