Tele-Rehab Physiotherapy

What is Tele-Rehab?

Tele-Rehab, or Virtual Physiotherapy is the remote delivery of Physiotherapy Services to clients via video calls. It may be appropriate for either new or ongoing clients who are in need of Physiotherapy Services, but are unable to travel to clinics due to closures, and need for social and physical distancing.

What will happen during a Tele-Rehab Session?

During your Tele-Rehab session, you will be connected 1-on-1 with one of our Registered Physiotherapist, during which they may: - Provide a physiotherapy consultation - Progress your current treatment plan - Provide management strategies and tips - Prescribe and modify exercises - Provide lots of patient education - Answer any questions you may have

What do you need before starting a Tele-Rehab Session?

A computer or tablet, with a working webcam and microphone An emergency contact should something happen during your session A safe, open and clear space around you to move and perform exercises An alternative way of communication, in the event of a disconnect

Is Tele-Rehab covered under my extended Healthcare benefits?

Insurance policies are evolving constantly in response to the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check directly with your insurance company to see if your plan covers telerehabilitation.

What information is provided on a Tele-Rehab receipt?

Your telerehabilitation receipt will include all the same information as an in-clinic receipt: name, date of birth, address, date of appointment, duration of appointment, treating physiotherapist, and his/her college registration number. In addition, the receipt will indicate that a virtual appointment has taken place.

How do I schedule and pay for a telerehabilitation session?
