Marauder Swim Camps

Our Marauder Swim teams are well renowned for their success in the pool as well as in the classroom. McMaster consistently has the greatest improvement in best times - the truest test of a high performance program. Each summer, our Marauder coaching staff offer two streams of camp: High Performance for experienced swimmers and Aquatic Adventure for novice swimmers. Novice and competitive swimmers alike find their passion and new levels of performance alongside our experienced coaches.

Aquatic Adventure: July 23-27, 2018

Novice swimmers are invited to be part of an adventure of a lifetime! An aquatic fun camp with a focus on improving the skills of novice swimmers and introducing them to racing and other aquatic activities. Additional activities may include water polo, diving, synchronized swimming, lifesaving, and adventure based activities.

  • Campers should be comfortable in the water and willing to attempt to complete a minimum of one length of the 25 meter pool

High Performance Day Camp: July 23-27, 2018

Tailored to Regional Level swimmers, each day campers will focus on a different stroke and attend two skill sessions. You'll also touch on starts and turns, with guest presentations by Olympic athletes. These will include dry land training, motivational talks, nutrition meetings and exciting goal setting sessions.

High Performance Residential Camp: July 16-20, 2018

Be part of a world-class experience that makes a difference!

Each day campers will focus on a different stroke and attend two skill sessions. You'll also touch on starts and turns, with guest presentations by Olympic athletes. These will include dry land training, motivational talks, nutrition meetings and exciting goal setting sessions. Whether you are an age group, high school, summer league or an elite swimmer, we will tailor the camp to meet your specific needs.

Residence & Extra-Curricular Activities: With 24 hour supervision, campers will love this 'University preview' living in a McMaster residence. Organized extra-curricular activities have included trips to waterslide parks, Alpine Tower challenges, dances, cooperative and leadership activities.

  • Extended Care from 7:30am-5:30pm each day
  • Busing from Ancaster, Burlington, Carlisle, Dundas,Hamilton Mountain, Oakville, Stoney Creek and Waterdown

Camp Checklist

  • Bathing Suits and Towels: Campers are in the water twice daily - please plan accordingly when packing suits and towels
  • Two pairs of goggles

High Performance: Residential Equipment Checklist 

In Addition to Items Listed Above, Please Pack:

  • Pajamas 
  • Enough Clothing for Entire Week (there will be no opportunity to do laundry); Weather-appropriate
  • Soap, Shampoo and other toiletries 
  • Book, Cards, or other quiet activities for time in the dorms 
  • Medication if needed
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Money for Ice Cream and Wild Water Works (snack money or innertube rental) 
  • Snakcs (dry goods only) - Nothing strawberry, nut or kiwi based (due to allergies)
  • Alarm Clock (if you wish for your own wake-up call) 
  • Bug repellant/spray for outdoor evening activities 
  • Clothing for dance on Thursday Evening --- 2017 Theme is LUAU! 

Please do not bring video game systems, jewelry, personal music players or anything else of value. There is no safe place to store these items, even locked in a locker. Bedding is provided for residential campers, campers may bring their own or extra blanket for sleeping but not necessary.
