Salary Grade: Casual/ Fixed Term Contract

Work Schedule:

- This position operates on a hybrid schedule throughout the summer term as some assignments for

the position may require in-person interactions.

- Position will also carry over throughout varsity calendar during school year

 

Position Overview: As a member of our varsity Events Team, Event Leads are held in a supervisory

position during the operations of our game days. The fan engagement lead evaluates our current varsity

game day operations and looks towards implementing new elements that will enhance the experience for

both student athletes and fans in attendance.

 

Responsibilities:

- Work alongside the operations lead towards creating a detailed events calendar for the 2023/2024

season

- Research and develop new ways to enhance the game day experiences on a larger scale

- Engage with students towards understanding there interests in attending varsity games (building

student section)

- Work in coordination with McMaster Student groups towards executing specific events and game

day pieces.

- Act as a primary support for game day crew

- Participate in interview and hiring process of new Event Team candidates

 

Qualifications:

- Enrolled within a McMaster University Program

- Having an understanding towards sport game day operations

- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

- Strong sense of creativity
