Athletics & Recreation welcomes over 5,000 campers each year to join us in fun, friendship and learning. We're committed to building a safe and inclusive camp community, starting with the hiring of our staff. Regardless of the camp or position, applicants must bring an understanding of and passion for children and their development.

Mini-University is an experiential education and adventure camp offering children and youth a sneak peek at university life, without the tests! Lesson topics include the sciences, arts, multimedia and outdoor adventure. The camp will provide jobs to approximately 30 students through 9 weeks of employment from late June to the end of August each year. The average workday is 8:00am to 4:30pm for a 40 hour work week. Mini-U has been instrumental in the career paths of many, many teachers, and provides opportunity to develop lesson plans and deliver educational programmes to children ages 8-14 in an innovative, exciting learning environment. There are two staff roles at Mini-U, as described below. Many staff return for more than one season and fill both roles or assume a senior leadership role across their Mini-U career.
